Food and service are always great, no matter when we go or what we order. Granted, Mona's and Capponi's in Toluca are the first restaurants I ever went to as a child,, and little is different in Washington! The chicken is my favorite of anywhere in Peoria. Pasta is a family style from central/northern Italy and is not what most Americans expect in their tomato-y pasta sauces, but it is what my family cooked. They have a great menu with a variety of dishes, American and Italian. There is a full bar with good wines and drink specials. They can get busy on weekends, so come early! This is my all-time favorite restaurant!
We very much enjoyed our time at Bernardi's. Our food was excellent, fried chicken, lasagna, fish sandwiches and tortellini dinner with salad and their excellent fresh bread. Service was great!!
The food and the drinks were great, however we got there roughly at 6:30, we were seated in the back room and by 7:15 they were already picking up chairs from all of the other tables and started vacuuming. We hadn't even gotten our food yet... it appeared like they were so worried about closing that they didn't notice us being there. it really took away from the experience. Side note the restaurant doesn't close until 8:30.
The chicken is awesome can be a little salty and has lots of batter. Pasta is great too.
Arrived for an early dinner at 4 for 9 people and they graciously made room for us and were super nice! Fried chicken was amazing as well as the chicken pear salad. I will be back anytime I'm visiting this area!
The Sunnyland location Bernardis has always been my parents favorite. I dont see a difference, Bernardis locations are all predictably good. Service was good tonight. I had the grilled salmon, my son the lasagna, and my parents had the pot roast special. It was all good, I tried a bite of Sullys Lasagne, Bernardis sauce is really delicious. If you've never tried their fried chicken it is literally some of the best on the planet. Ive had a few of their newer menu items recently- they are trying to branch out and be a little more upscale. Bernardis consistently delivers delicious food.
